Dental jewelry is made of zirconium-type diamonds, rhinestones or 18-karat gold. You can also use your own precious stones.
The procedure
Before this cosmetic procedure can be done, we must perform a dental check-up and sanitize the materials and location.
Once the area has been prepped, the dentist secures the jewel to the surface of the tooth using glue that is later hardened using UV. This painless procedure requires no local anaesthesia and the jewel can be removed without any damage to your tooth.
Your saliva’s acidity level and your eating habits can affect the jewel’s durability, so make sure to follow the dental hygienist’s tips and instructions.
